The International Rugby Board is concerned that the professional era in rugby has made the job of the Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua and Management alot tougher in securing overseas based players to join the squad.
Speaking to Fijivillage, IRB Council member Graham Mourie said that it was evident that Tabua had to work extra hard to get players in as most Fijian players were playing professional rugby.
Meanwhile, Mourie added that in the long run these players were increasing the income for the Fiji Rugby Union.
The Flying Fijians broke camp after the win over Japan on Friday and Tabua is expected to prepare a team soon for the Europe tour.
Players like Napolioni Nalaga, Akapusi Qera, Mosese Rauluni, Nicky Little and Kameli Ratuvou have been eyed by Tabua for the end of year tour to Europe and USA.
