A member of the International Rugby Board is expected to be in the country in January next year to sit with the Fiji Rugby Union board in identifying the successful applicant for the Flying Fijians head coach.

FRU has confirmed that most of the applicants for the post has come from abroad as far as Wales, England with some from Australia and New Zealand.

Local coaches who have shown their interest includes former U20 coach, Inoke Male and FRU development manager Sale Sorovaki.

Sorovaki with Greg Smith and Simon Raiwalui are former national 15s captain who are now eyeing for a position as head coach.

The closing date for those who wish to apply for the Fiji 15s coach’s position is next Tuesday the 27th of December.
