The International Rugby Board has advised the Fiji Rugby Union to have a coaching platform in place that will see the development of rugby at grass-root level.

Speaking to Fijivillage, IRB Manager in the Oceania Region William Glenwright said that raw talents are observed from the rural areas and players develop when they have access to proper coaching experts.

Glenwright added that as part of rugby development in the Pacific, overseas experts are brought in to help out, and IRB insist that a plan has to be in place.
