The Fiji Rugby Union High Performance Unit has been aiming over the past twelve months to put in place a high performance system to make Fiji rugby competitive.
High Performance Unit Manager Peter Murphy said that this is only possible if funds are available and this has prompted them to ask the International Rugby Board for extra funds.
Murphy adds that the funding from IRB travels for three years, from January 2006, where FRU received $FJ2.4 million and that finishes at the end of this year, December 31.
The Fiji Rugby Union will know by next month how much the IRB will be giving them.
