A three member delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) met with the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama to discuss Government's reform plans this morning.
Armando Morallis of the IMF said the meeting with the Prime Minister revolved around a number of issues regarding micro-policy plans and they gave their input on how the policies can be better implemented.
Morallis added they are expected to hold a number of meetings in the coming weeks with other organizations.
A team from the World Bank is also expected in the country later this week, to hold similar meetings.
It was earlier confirmed by Prime Minister's Office Permanent Secretary Pio Tikoduadua, that the representatives are here to have discussions with the Fiji government on their proposals put forward in their last meeting in Istanbul, and to see whether they will financially assist the government to carry out reforms proposed in the People's Charter.
