Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the Interim Government will engage with a special Pacific Islands Leaders Forum, expected to be held in Papua New Guinea at the end of this year.
According to Sayed-Khaiyum, it's too early to speculate what would be the outcome of this special meeting.
He said following the Mini Economic Summit some weeks ago, steps are being taken by the Interim Prime Minister to improve the economy of the country.
PNG Prime Minister, Sir Michael Somare had agreed to hold a special meeting of the Pacific Leaders in PNG before the end of the year where Fiji's political situation will be discussed.
