The International Federation of Netball Association has made it clear that the Fiji Netball Association was informed that any team member associated with the Fiji Military Force will not be allowed to be in the team for the World Netball Championship in New Zealand.
IFNA Vice-president Kereyn Smith said that the world netball governering body is not involved in trying to secure visas for the players coming for the netball meet.
Smith adds that the Fiji netball teams were told about the requirements each player will have to meet when the WNC was shifted to New Zealand.
The IFNA vice-president believes that politics has not interfered into the World Netball meet as the Fiji team is in New Zealand ready to do their best.
This morning when the Fiji team was to jet out to New Zealand Alanieta Seru was not granted a visa because her husband is a member of the Fiji Military Force. She was replaced by Lusiana Robanakadavu. Fiji's opening game against Singapore is on Sunday afternoon at 3.10pm.
