Under the Ministry of Social Welfare's E-Gov reform, it is compulsory for the family assistance recipients to have proper identification cards.

Acting Permanent Secretary Govind Sami said those who do not have proper IDs may face difficulties while accessing the services provided by the ministry.

Sami said the ministry is working on developing a new database that will make work much easier and has urged recipients to get their identity cards ready before 15th of June.

Sami said the ministry is working towards printing the Family Assistance, Care and Protection and Food Vouchers for July to December and there is an urgent need to clear out all uncollected voucher books for the months of January to June.

Meanwhile, Sami also said the Social Welfare district offices around the country will be open this Saturday.
