28 long years of waiting to see Fiji's oldest soccer trophy in the capital city again is over for Suva fans this morning.

The Courts IDC trophy will be held aloft in a float parade by players and accompanied by fans from the Flea Market to Sukuna Park at 10am.

Suva last won the IDC back in 1983, and that year, they also played Ba and defeated them with same score line 1-0 as they did in this year’s tournament.

Already white flags are flying high visible on taxis, mini buses, homes and people wearing Suva soccer jerseys.

The inaugural IDC tournament was held in 1938.
