IDC final decision expected today
There are reports that the Fiji FA has written to FIFA for advice.
When contacted, Fiji FA chief executive Bob Kumar said the final decision is yet to be made and he refused to comment on whether advice has been sought from FIFA.
The IDC rules state that any team that refuses to finish a match shall forfeit the three points as the opposing team will get the win.
The protesting team shall also be fined a minimum of $5,000 and shall be liable for further disciplinary action.
The general section 15.1 of the IDC rules states that all participating associations are to fully observe and comply with the rules and decisions of the organizing committee and the Board of Control of the Fiji FA.
Suva coach Gurjeet Singh has already said that Suva is the winner of the Courts IDC as he said the goal was scored in the dying minutes and Ba players refused to come back onto the field to finish the match
The President of the Fiji Football Referees Association Mahen Singh said the Suva goal was clear while he said fans should understand that the first goal attempt by Ba involved foul play on the Suva goalkeeper and the second was denied due to offside play.
Singh said appropriate action should be taken to ensure that the incident at Govind Park is not repeated.
Suva Soccer president Mahen Prasad said they are eagerly awaiting the Fiji FA decision today as the IDC rules are clear on a team refusing to finish a match.
