With the rising problem of drugs found in schools being prominent in our societies nowadays, Seaqaqa Central College Head Girl Tia Sahayam is working on keeping their school a drug-free institution.

Sahayam says her main priority is to maintain this status and educate her peers about the dangers of drugs.
She says in addition to her role in promoting a drug-free school, she will ensure that students uphold discipline, particularly in areas such as bullying, stealing and showing respect to teachers.
The head girl says she is determined to be a role model and guide students toward making positive choices.
When asked about her struggles as a student, Sahayam says she travels from Bureseni, Seaqaqa, to attend Seaqaqa Central College and every day, she takes the bus and then walks about 500-metres from the bus stop to her home.
She says despite the long journey, she views it as a sacrifice and is committed to being a role model for other students.
She adds her academic achievements reflect her dedication to her education.
Sahayam scored 375 out of 400 in the Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination with a focus on pure science.
When asked about her future aspirations, she expressed her ambition to become a doctor.
