Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama stressed that he had no intentions at all to contest the elections in 2014 at this stage.
Commodore Bainimarama said he is aware of reports and suggestions being made that he may or should contest the next elections.
However he said there is no use for him to be thinking about that as he does not want to deviate from his current focus.
Commodore Bainimarama said the main focus right now is to implement civil service, economic, social and electoral reforms.
He has also made it clear that there will be new political parties contesting the 2014 elections.
Meanwhile following his return from the Northern Division yesterday, Commodore Bainimarama said his plan is to provide immediate relief to the farmers who are facing major difficulties due to some policies of the Native Land Trust Board and the Fiji Sugar Corporation.
Commodore Bainimarama said the Land Transport Authority also thinks that it is a money making organisation and this mindset needs to change.
