The man who led Fiji in the 2006 polls says he is still the country's Supervisor of Elections.

As the Constitutional Offices Commission looks for a new Elections Supervisor, Semesa Karavaki said the honorable and right thing for the commission to do is to allow him to continue in that position.

Karavaki also said he was awaiting the ruling on the case taken by Laisenia Qarase and others against Commodore Bainimarama and others on the legality of the events of December 5th and the legality of the interim government and its promulgations.
