What was once known as Fiji's largest multi-racial school has slowly evolved to what is now predominantly made up of I-Taukei students.

During the week long 50th Golden Jubilee Celebrations last week, former students from the 60s to the 90s decade said one of the many highlights of their time in school was attending a multi-cultural school which in turn gave them a better understanding and acceptance of other cultures.

However, Suva Grammar School principal Waisake Ravatu said due to the emergence of other schools, the racial composition of the school has slowly changed.
