This is the sentiment of ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase following the call by the RFMF to stop questioning the overseas trips made by the interim ministers.
The RFMF Media Cell in a press statement said Qarase should not judge the Interim Ministers and added that the comments by Qarase state quite blatantly that he does not want to shut the door on the coup culture and would rather leave it open. The military stressed that if these are his intentions than he must be prepared to face the consequences. Qarase said he is speaking out as a concerned tax payer.
The RFMF also said that he should first explain to the public how he had once used over $2000 of public funds for his Christmas shopping while he was Prime Minister.
However, Qarase said that he had no idea what they were talking about and is calling for them to provide evidence showing where and what he had allegedly bought with the over $2000.
