The interim government has welcomed the arrival of officials from the European Union expert mission on the rule of law, but he has some reservations on the people they will be meeting with.
According to the list of people Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum announced today, the delegation will be meeting him tomorrow, before meeting suspended Chief Justice Daniel Fatiaki, ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, Qoroniasi Bale, the Fiji Law Society, Imrana Jalal and others.
Sayed-Khaiyum said he has no problems with that but he is concerned that the report they will get will not be balanced.
He said he has spoken to the French Ambassador this morning to consider some other people like the former President of the Fiji Law Society in 2000 to get a fair idea of what transpired.
