A husband is on the run after allegedly hitting his wife which resulted in her being hospitalised.
The Assistant Police PRO Corporal Josaia Weicavu said a 40 year old waitress of Nawai Nadi is admitted at the Nadi Hospital after she was allegedly hit by her husband with a piece of timber several times on the head Saturday afternoon.
Corporal Weicavu said police are looking for the husband who got angry after the wife admitted to him that she had a conversation with her former boyfriend.
The woman has received fractures on both hands and a deep cut on her head. Police are urging people to come forward and report to police if they know the whereabouts of the man.
