Sigatoka Police have arrested and charged a man and his de-facto wife for allegedly stabbing taxi driver Mohammad Nasir to death in Cuvu Sigatoka.

Divisional Crime Officer Western SP Vijay Singh has confirmed that both of them will appear in the Sigatoka Magistrates court this morning.

Post mortem report reveals that Nasir died of excessive blood loss due to stab wounds he sustained.

It is alleged the two hired the taxi and upon reaching, Cuvu they robbed and stabbed him to death. They later abandoned the taxi about 5 kilometers away from where his body was found.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old Soldier will appear in the Nausori Magistrate Court this morning for the alleged murder of a farmer whose body was found in Nausori Town on Thursday.

The solider has been charged with one count of murder and is in Police custody.

Post mortem revealed that Tevita Moce died of brain hemorrhage.

It is alleged the Soldier punched the deceased while he returning from a nightclub.
