The Hurricanes have gone to the top of Super Rugby table with a 30‑23 win over the Blues last night.
This is the fourth‑straight win for the Hurricanes in this season’s Super Rugby season.
The hosts dominated the opening stages with a try to TJ Perenara to show for it before the Blues answered through both Lolagi Visinia and Frank Halai scored for the visitors.
But Matt Proctor scored for the Hurricanes right on halftime after re‑gathering a Beauden Barrett chip kick to give them an 18‑17 lead at the break.
While the Blues nudged ahead through a penalty, a second half double from Julian Savea gave them a win, with a bonus point.
It lifts the Canes to 18 points overall, two points clear of the Stormers.
Meanwhile, the Melbourne Rebels earned their second victory of the season by beating the Western Force 21‑17 in Perth last night.
In today’s matches, the Crusaders will take on the Lions at 3.30pm, the Highlanders will face the Waratahs at 6.35pm while the Reds will take on the Brumbies at 8.40pm.
