The Hurricanes slumped to their third defeat in as many games this season last night, going down 29-21 to an impressive Brumbies outfit at Westpac Stadium.

Tries from Jesse Mogg and Robbie Coleman helped the Brumbies to a 15-13 lead at half time before Tevita Kuridrani and Lachlan McCaffrey scored in the second period to secure a deserved bonus-point victory for the visitors.

TJ Perenara touched down for the Hurricanes in the first half and Blade Thomson scored a late consolation try but the home side was unable to match the pace brought to the game by the Brumbies after the interval.

Meanwhile, the Reds secured their first home win of the Super Rugby season also last night, beating the Cheetahs 43-33 in an entertaining clash in Brisbane.

The Reds led 29-20 at the end of the first half that featured no less than six tries, four of which came from the hosts, who secured the bonus point on the stroke of half time.

Tonight the Crusaders hosts the Stormers at 6.35 while the Force play the Rebels at 11.40pm.
