Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett has made one change to the team that lost to the Reds for this weekend's Super Rugby clash against the Crusaders at Westpac Stadium.

The only change to the team is Brad Shields moving to number six and Victor Vito moving to the back of the scrum at No.8.

On the bench, Ben May comes in to the number 17 jersey and Motu Matu’u has been bracketed with Ash Dixon for the match.

The match will be a special occasion for two Hurricanes players Vito and Dane Coles with their 50th Super Rugby caps as they both began their Super Rugby careers in 2009.

The Hurricanes will face the Crusaders at 6.35pm Friday.

In other matches, on Friday the Rebels will face the Reds at 8.40pm, the Highlanders will face the Cheetahs at 6.35pm Saturday, Waratahs will play the Brumbies at 8.40pm Saturday, the Stormers will play the Chiefs at 3.05am Sunday, the Kings against the Sharks at 5.10am while Blues will face the Bulls at 3.05pm Sunday at Eden Park.
