The Hurricanes can head into the remainder of the Super 15 rugby with renewed confidence after a morale boosting 28-26 victory over Reds.

The Hurricanes without 4 All Black backs, beat the Reds with a last minute Aaron Cruden penalty.

It is just Hurricanes third victory of the season and they’re now 4th in the New Zealand Conference and 9th overall.

The Hurricanes could welcome back halfback Piri Weepu and second five Ma’a Nonu this weekend.

The Hurricanes take on the Blues in Wellington at 7.35pm this Friday.

At 9.40pm the Rebels will play the Reds.
