Hurricanes fans will have to wait and see if coach Mark Hammett will be sacked.
The Hurricanes coach won’t be sacked mid-season as that’s not the New Zealand Rugby Union’s style and it's the NZRU CEO Steve Tew and the board who makes the call.
The Hurricanes have been poor in their first three games and seem destined to finish as they have in the previous three years under Hammett, well down the table but the New Zealand Rugby Union still won’t make history by sacking a coach early.
The Hurricanes will host the Cheetahs at 3:35pm this Saturday.
On Friday night, the Chiefs take on the Stormers at 6.35pm while the Crusaders play the Rebels at 8.40pm.
