Another round, another loss   the Hurricanes' and the Chiefs' Super Rugby campaigns are in tatters.

The Hurricanes slumped to their fourth defeat in six matches going down 26-14 to defending champions the Bulls of South Africa and the Chiefs were beaten 23-16 by the Waratahs in Sydney.

Both teams are locked on the bottom of the New Zealand conference with 12 points each, with the Chiefs sitting fourth by virtue of a better points differential.

The Hurricanes begin a tough away programme next week against the Brumbies in Canberra while the Chiefs get a bye this week which will allow coach Ian Foster to fine-tune the side who return to action against the Crusaders on April 15.

This Friday in the opening Super 15 rugby competition the Highlanders host the Cheetahs at 7.35pm.
