Police are hunting for a man who broke into a house in Kinoya early this morning.

At around 4.30 this morning, it is believed that the suspect gained entry into the house through the living room window which was left open and got away with ladies handbag containing money and some important cards.

Family members saw someone moving in the house but thought that it was one of their own.

Investigations continue.

Meanwhile, former Prime Minister and Fiji Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry remains in the custody of Rakiraki police after being taken into custody with five others on Friday.

Assistant Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed to Fijivillage that Chaudhry and the five others were taken into custody for allegedly holding meetings in breach of the conditions of the Public Emergency Regulations.
