Police are looking for two youths who rammed a stolen vehicle into a service station in Lami early this morning before robbing the attendants.

Police Media Officer, Atunaisa Sokomuri said that at about 4.50am, the two drove into the Lami based Total Service Station in a stolen Prado and reversed their vehicle into the premises, smashing the door glass of the service station.

They threatened the cashier with iron rods and cane knives and got away with $1600 cash. No one received injuries.

Meanwhile, five people are in Nausori police custody who allegedly assaulted two police officers yesterday.

The two officers went to quiet a group who were partying when they were confronted by a group of men and assaulted.

Charges are expected to be laid soon.
