Police are hunting for a man who allegedly raped a 19 year old girl last night.
Divisional crime officer eastern ASP Ramesh Chand has confirmed that the girl was returning home after a church service when she was approached by a group of youths who were drinking beside the road.
It is alleged that one of the youth dragged her into bushes and allegedly raped her.
The victim sustained injuries during the attack.
Police have the identity of the man and he is expected to be arrested soon.
