Police are still hunting for four men who robbed a 22 year old mechanic and his family in Caubati on Thursday.
Robbers got away with $9,000 cash, assorted jewellery worth more than $14,000 and a laptop worth $2,000.
According to police, the mechanic's mother has kidney problems and the money that was kept in the house was for her overseas treatment.
The woman needs to travel to Australia for dialysis treatment.
