Hundreds turn up to pay tribute to Fiji’s greatest musician
Accompanied by the Kapena band from Hawaii the crowds could not hold back their tears as Bulicokocoko casket was carried by his close friends who used to sing with him in the likes of Tomasi Mawi, Seru Serevi and Gilman Lasaisuva.
The son of the former leader of the Kapena band Aiki Tefau spoke on behalf of the family who adopted Bulicokocoko in Hawaii saying that he was close to the family and he was like a son to them.
Ken Jansen who was one of the first people to recognise the talents of the great musician believes that Bulicokocoko could have played for any band in the world.
And Viti FM manager Malakai Veisamasama paid tribute to Bulicokocoko's music which will be in the minds and the hearts of the music fans whenever his song is played on air.
Bulicokocoko will be laid to rest in his village in Nakorolevu, Namara in Tailevu at 10am tomorrow.
