These were the voices of more than 100 women who marched through the streets of Suva last night to mark International Womens Day which will be celebrated today.
Under heavy Police petrol the march started from Flee market and ended at the Government buildings.
Fiji Womens Crises Center Coordinator, Shamima Ali said this event is organized to reclaim the status of women in our society.
When asked if they will hand in a petition of womens grievances to the Interim Government, Ali stressed that they do not recognize the Interim Government.
The Soqosoqo Vakamarama believes women play major roles not only at home but for the community as today marks International Women's Day.
General Secretary for the Soqosoqo Vakamarama, Adi Finau Tabakaucoro says their group have already started visiting villagers and providing counseling sessions for women and young ladies who maybe victims of rape and abuse.
Adi Finau says women out there in the rural areas are also feeling the impact of the increase in food prices.
