Driven by the expected improvement in construction activities in the Northern division this year in line with the Government budget has driven Humes Industries to open their Labasa plant at the end of the month.
General Manager Mosese Natuilagilagi said while the original plan was to open towards the end of last year, this was delayed due to Cyclone Mick, and this opening is part of their strategy to grow and expand their business within Fiji.
Natuilagilagi said Humes Industries is positioning itself to be able to efficiently meet demands in line with Government upgrading Projects.
The new plant will be located in Vulovi, Labasa.
