The final 12 member Digicel Fiji Sevens team to the next leg of the IRB Sevens Series is likely to be only from the 16 players that will be named on Saturday and those players who will play for their local club teams in the Uprising Fiji International Sevens.

Coach Alifereti Dere and his assistant Etuate Waqa have the huge task of trimming the players down from 42 to 16 with majority of those who are in the squad having played in the national team before.

The coaches have maintained that they will only pick the players who have followed their training programs during the off season after the experience of only having Osea Kolinisau as the fittest players in the last leg.

The Digicel Fiji Sevens Barbarians team will play in the Uprising Fiji International Sevens on the 20th and 21st of this month which will also have 8 local teams.
