Residents in Sigatoka will expect a huge finish to their carnival today as sponsors Digicel have lined up local artists as well as trying to secure the services of Jamaican-American rap artist Sean Kingston.
Concert Media Liaison Officer, Una Murray said that they received word yesterday from Digicel that local artists Mr. Grin and Melita will be at the event.
Digicel Coral Coast Carnival Chairman, Ratu Jolame Lewanavanua said that the money collected from the carnival will go towards projects such as the upgrading of public facilities and education.
The concert is expected to start in the next two hours with local artists expected to take centre stage at 7.30pm.
