A 69 year old man was rushed to hospital with minor burns after a fire destroyed their four bedroom corrugated iron and timber house in Balabala Crescent in New Town this morning.
The other 10 members of the family were lucky to escape unharmed when the fire started at around 8am.
One of the family members, Robert Ali who also lost his flat in the fire said they were not able to save anything when the fire started.
An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of fire.
