The Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that hot and humid weather may continue for the next few weeks before cold season starts.

Acting Director, Alipate Waqaicelua said due to the El-nino effect, warm seas are taking time to cool down and which is why hot humid weather still continues.

He said effects are wearing out as cool weather may settle in later this month or next month.

He also said following this cool weather the weather office will predict the number of tropical cyclones to affect the Fiji group in this cyclone season.
