The trends are changing, as more and more locals are now opting to visit exotic locations around Fiji rather than travelling abroad for holidays.
Most Hotels and resorts around the country are seeing an increase in the number of local occupants and Fiji Hoteliers Association President Dixon Seeto said this is a very positive sign for the tourism industry.
Seeto adds that hotels and resorts are aware of the increasing trend and have special deals for locals to ensure they continue to tap into the local market.
