A number of hotels and resorts around the country have been affected due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland which has led to the closure of all airports and cancellation of all flights to and from Europe.
Tourism Fiji chairman Patrick Wong confirmed to Fijivillage news that several cancellations have been made until the no fly restriction is lifted.
Wong said hotels and resorts are now offering special deferment deals to the affected travelers to ensure they make the trip to Fiji once normal flights resume.
Thousands of people in Europe and around the world have been affected due to the no fly restrictions in place as the volcanic ash cloud chaos has paralyzed air travel across Europe.
