With the tourism industry expected to make a loss of around $200 million in revenue due to the low visitor arrivals in 2007, hotel and resort operators are now reviewing their discount deals.

Speaking to Village News, Fiji Hoteliers Association President Dixon Seeto said it will be a substantial drop in earnings in one year due to the poor performance of the industry.

However, visitor numbers for this month is looking good at this stage and Seeto also revealed that several operators are reconsidering the huge discounts which were on offer to our visitors earlier this year.
