As hotels and resorts brace themselves for an influx of visitors early in the new year, operators are using the quite period to pay tribute to the hard working staff and resource owners who form the foundation of our tourism industry.
Tourism Fiji Chairman Patrick Wong said the slow period allows the hotel and resort owners to thank their staff, many of whom are the main reason why people continue to come back every year.

Wong said while several contributions are made to the resource owners throughout the year, Christmas is special as resort owners pay a special visit to thank the resource owners for their cooperation and making tourism possible in Fiji.
