Occupancy rates in hotels and resorts around the country is picking up as we enter the peak tourism period and stakeholders are hoping to recover losses incurred in the first quarter of the year.
The Reserve Bank of Fiji earlier reported that occupancy rates was as low as 40 percent in the first six months, and Fiji Hoteliers Association President Dixon Seeto said this is up now to around 60 percent.
According to Seeto, the Pandemic H1N1 has not had an impact on visitor arrivals.
