James Horwill and Will Genia have both been ruled out from the Reds side that will play the Waratahs this weekend due to injury while prop James Slipper has been named captain.
The Reds is one of the six teams that have qualified for the playoffs but only the Bulls, Brumbies, Chiefs and Crusaders have a chance of finishing in the top two, meaning they will have a home semifinal and a bye in the playoffs next weekend.
The playoff fixtures will be finalized after this week’s final round where the Crusaders meet the Hurricanes at 7.35pm tomorrow while the Rebels play the Highlanders at 9.40pm.
On Saturday the Blues host the Chiefs at 7:35pm and the Waratahs face the Reds at 9:40pm.
