All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said his veteran hooker Andrew Hore will not make it to the next Rugby World Cup.

Hore is not even in the starting 15 this weekend as Dane Coles starts for the first time against the Springboks on Saturday at Eden Park.

Hansen said Coles is the future but they did not want to put someone into the front row who they did not think was ready, and that is why they have held onto Hore and Keven Mealamu for as long as they have.

Meanwhile, All Blacks blindside flanker Liam Messam and hooker Dane Coles will both start in Saturday's match.

The All Blacks will host the Springboks at 7.35pm Saturday while the Wallabies will face Argentina at 10.05pm.
