It's back to the way things were before the cruiseliners came to Savusavu.
These are the words of Edward Bower the General Manager of Trip-N-Tour in Savusavu, whose company has organised events for tourists arriving on cruiseliners for the past two years.
He said they are now hoping that tourist numbers to the North will pick up, so that businesses and people who have come to rely on the visits of the cruiseliners are not heavily affected.
Sharing similar sentiments is the Labasa/Savusavu Special Administrator Vijay Chand who said hopefully the incentives put in place by government will work in their favour.
Major cruiseliners earlier this week have decided to exclude Savusavu as a port of call, due to logistical reasons as it takes one and a half days to travel to and from the North.
