The Waratahs are concerned over the fitness of openside flanker Michael Hooper who limped off during his side’s 18‑11 defeat to the Western Force on Saturday.

Hooper appeared to sustain a knee injury in the 69th minute of the clash in Perth.

The Wallabies captain tried to play on but was eventually forced to leave the field for the first time in more than a year.

Looking at the other Super Rugby results over the weekend, the Crusaders thumped the Reds 58-17, Rebels beat the Blues 44-22, Hurricanes defeated the Sharks 32-24, the Lions upset the Highlanders 28‑23 while the Stormers edged the Brumbies 25-24.

After Round 13 of the Super Rugby, the Hurricanes continue to top the table with 48 points, second are the Stormers with 34 points while the Brumbies trail in third place with 33 points.

The Hurricanes play the Chiefs at 7.35pm Saturday while the Waratahs meet the Sharks at 9.40pm.
