Hong Kong welcomes Fiji 7s team
Boasting the most win records in Hong Kong and with the most experienced players in their lineup, the coaching staff is trying to win their first tournament this season.
Manager Talemo Waqa said that with only Nikola Matawalu and David Batiratu being the new comers to the Hong Kong tournament, other players have adapted quickly to the buzzing city that has a population of 7 million.
Waqa added that while the players have been away from home and are missing the local food, they are lucky to have a team that is experienced enough to know the changes which happens in the various IRB 7's series.
The Fiji 7's team will have a warm up match with Japan today after a training run this morning.
Fiji will play against Malaysia at 9.14pm Friday in their opening pool game in the Hong Kong 7's.
