With the Hong Kong 7s kicking off next Friday, the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union is readying itself to welcome 28 international teams to take part in the biggest ever tournament.

As in 2012, the 2013 Hong Kong Sevens will host two competitions, a 16 core team for the World Sevens Series competition and a 12-team pre-qualification tournament, from which four will proceed to London where they will try to win promotion to World Series core team status for the 2013 and 2014 season.

After the NZ and Las Vegas leg, New Zealand leads the Series with 96 points, South Africa on 76 points, Samoa is in third place with 71 points while Fiji lies in fourth with 66 points.

Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji Sevens team 12 member Squad is expected to be named tomorrow.

The Hong Kong 7s kicks off next weekend and Fiji is pooled with Hong Kong, Spain and Canada.
