The Fiji Council of Churches hopes to hold more consultations and discussions with leaders from other faiths and religions in 2008.
Chairman of the Council of Churches Reverand Tuikilakila Waqairatu told Village News that next year they will take a proactive role to consult other religious leaders to ensure that members of his church better understand their neighbors.
He stresses that after a tough 2007, the nation must understand that operating in isolation will not take Fiji forward.
Meanwhile, the SDL is calling on all the citizens of the country to reflect on what has happened this year and learn from it.
National Director Peceli Kinivuwai said that it is time to resolve and reconcile our differences before we start 2008.
