The Fiji Womens Hockey team is raring to meet Australia County in the round robin match later this afternoon at the Oceania Pacific Hockey Tournament, after a very close game with New Zealand Maori last night, where they lost by 3-2.

Team manager Mereia Shaw said the Fiji girls are eager to give it their best shot against Australia, and aim to be the best team in the Pacific.

Shaw added the girls have promised to give Australia a good game so they can represent the Pacific at the playoffs for the Olympics, sometimes next year.

Fiji’s game against Australia County is at 5.45pm today.
