Both our Men’s and Women’s national hockey teams have confirmed their participation in the Hockey World League Round 2 in India.

But the tour will come at a cost as all players going on the tour will have to pay $3,500 levy.

Fiji Hockey executive Doctor Robin Mitchell said the cost of sending both teams to the meet is around $200,000.

He said they are still looking for corporate sponsors.

The Fiji Men’s team which is ranked 71st will be playing against teams like India, China, Ireland and Bangladesh while the Fiji Women’s team who are ranked 59th will be playing against teams like Japan, India, Russia and Malaysia.

The Hockey World League Round 2 will be played from 18th to 24th February in New Delhi.
