The records for the past 59 years of the Sukuna Bowl is heavily in favour of the Police 15s rugby team to create history on Friday afternoon against Army at the TFL Stadium.

Since the inception of the Sukuna Bowl in 1951, Police have won  26 times compared to the Army team who only have manage 21 wins and the game has ended in a draw 4 times.

For the current holders Police, they are currently enjoying their second 5 year in a row winning streak that they last tasted from 1980 to 1985 and from 2004 to 2009 while a win on Friday will be the first for any of the two forces to keep the Sukuna Bowl for the 6th year in a row.

They have stuck with the ingredients of their past win and have spent the past three weeks in camp in Sigatoka and also training in the famous sand dunes with the brains behind their success in the likes of Ifereimi Tawake, Savenaca Aria and Manasa Bari.

The Police/Army match kicks off at 4pm on Friday at the TFL stadium and you can catch a live commentary of the match on our sister station Viti FM.
